Judges 7:4-15

**Gideon Believes God** is not a lesson about looking strong—it’s a lesson about trusting the God who is strong. In Judges 7, the Lord cuts Gideon’s army down until nobody can brag but God. Thirty-two thousand looked better to the flesh, but God chose three hundred, tried them at the water, and proved that victory doesn’t come by crowds, confidence, or human wisdom. God didn’t ask Gideon for opinions; He gave him orders. And when God says, “This one shall go, and this one shall not,” you don’t tamper with it. That’s sovereignty. That’s divine testing. That’s the hard truth: not everybody is chosen for every battle. This study calls you to believe God when fear is sitting on your chest and the Midianites look thick as grasshoppers. God knew Gideon was afraid, but He still told him, “Go.” Then He strengthened him through a dream and an interpretation, because the Lord knows how to put courage in a trembling servant. If you’re waiting until everything makes sense before you obey, you’re already late. God is still raising up a peculiar people—a remnant that trusts His voice, follows His wisdom, and worships before the victory shows up. This ain’t about looking right to people. It’s about being right with God.
