Ezra, A Priest for the People

“Ezra, A Priest for the People” is a wake-up call, not a lullaby. Malachi says the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and Ezra shows what a real priest does—he stands before God ashamed over the people’s iniquities, intercedes in prayer, and tells the truth even when folks don’t want to hear it. This study confronts the spirit of blame, bondage, ignorance, and forsaking God’s commandments. You can point fingers all day, but if you won’t repent, obey, and seek the knowledge of God, you’ll stay trapped while calling it somebody else’s fault. Ezra didn’t pray soft because the situation wasn’t soft. The land was unclean, the people had trespassed, the walls needed rebuilding, and only a remnant had grace enough left to wake up. This message presses hard on deliverance, restoration, togetherness, and spiritual awakening. God has not forsaken His people—but if His people keep ignoring His messenger, despising knowledge, and playing with abominations, they’ll remain in captivity with a Bible in their hand and chains on their soul. If that cuts, it’s supposed to. Freedom starts when we stop making excuses and return to the Lord.
