Dumb Spirit

Mark 9:14-29, Acts 5:12-16

“Dumb Spirit” is a hard warning from Mark 9: the devil doesn’t play fair, and he doesn’t mean to bruise your child—he means to destroy them. This study calls out the spirits that drag souls into drugs, violence, rebellion, confusion, unbelief, and death, and it tells the church to stop standing around powerless while the enemy tears people apart. Jesus didn’t flatter the crowd, and He didn’t entertain the scribes—He dealt with the spirit. That’s the kind of faith, discernment, and holy boldness believers need again. But this ain’t just about casting out devils—it’s about why some can’t. Jesus said some things only come out by prayer and fasting, and Acts 5 shows what happens when believers get back in one accord: signs, wonders, healing, deliverance, and the power of God moving without apology. If your faith is weak, say so and cry, “Lord, help my unbelief.” But don’t dress up unbelief like wisdom. The Holy Ghost hasn’t changed. The question is whether we’ll repent, get together, believe God, and walk in the power He already gave the church.
