Don't Forget God

Deuteronomy 8:14-19

Don’t Forget God is a hard warning to any soul that’s been blessed and started acting like they built the blessing themselves. Deuteronomy 8 doesn’t play with pride: when your belly is full, your house is built, your money is right, and the land is in your hand, you better remember who brought you through the wilderness. God gave the power, God opened the door, God made the way, and God can testify against a lifted-up heart. This ain’t about being rich or poor—it’s about whether your riches, your land, your inheritance, and your increase still bow to the Lord. This study calls the church back to humbleness, thanksgiving, obedience, and giving—especially to the least brethren. God tests His people to humble them, not to destroy them, so He can do them good in the latter end. But if you forget Him, if you start saying in your heart, “My power got me this,” you’re walking dangerous ground. The Word says what it says: remember the Lord thy God. Share what He gave you. Do what He told you. And don’t let Him catch you with your work undone.
