Check Out Your Salvation

1 John 2:18-19, Acts 4:31-35, 6:1-4

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 37 min

Check Out Your Salvation is a hard call to stop assuming and start examining. John said there were many antichrists even then, and some went out from the apostles because they were never truly of them. That ought to shake a man awake. This study drives you back to the Book of Acts, back to Jerusalem, back to the apostolic doctrine, where the Holy Ghost fell, the saints continued steadfastly, and the church wasn’t built on gimmicks, greed, or man-made systems. The Word says what it says—you can wrestle with it, or you can submit to it. This ain’t a message for folks who want religion without correction. It confronts false gospel, selfish giving, neglected widows, divided organizations, and churches that no longer look like the blood-bought Body of Christ. In Acts, they had all things common, no lack among them, honest men serving, apostles given to prayer and the ministry of the Word. If what you’re in doesn’t line up with what was first delivered, don’t get mad—go back and check it. I’m not saying this to hurt you. I’m saying it because your salvation is too precious to play with.
