Attack on the Church

Isaiah 14:12-13, Revelation 1:20

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 12 min

“Attack on the Church” is a straight warning: the devil has always wanted God’s place, God’s authority, and God’s people. Isaiah 14 shows that old spirit of self-exaltation—“I will ascend”—and Revelation 1 reminds us that Christ still holds His messengers and His churches in His hand. Yes, there is corruption. Yes, there are false preachers, rebellion, and confusion. But don’t get so busy staring at the counterfeit that you forget there is still a real church built on the Rock. The gates of hell may swing, but they will not prevail. This study calls the saints to wake up and stop being distracted by race, personalities, scandals, and fleshly arguments while Satan is working to sit in the congregation. God didn’t stutter: the church belongs to Jesus Christ, not the devil, not proud men, and not rebellious spirits. If there’s sin, correct it. If there’s corruption, confront it. If there’s falsehood, reject it. But don’t abandon the truth because Judas was among the twelve. Open your eyes before it’s everlasting too late, and get in the way of obedience, holiness, and spiritual warfare that actually honors God.
